Visionary, trailblazer, anointed teacher and spiritual shepherd to many, Bishop Bryan J. Pierce, Sr. serves as the Senior Pastor and Chief Executive Officer of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro, Inc.

Bishop Pierce was born in New Orleans, LA on November 3rd. He began preaching at the age of six, licensed at the age of 9 and ordained at the age of 19. Upon being ordained, Bishop Pierce served as Youth Pastor at Greater St. Stephens        Full Gospel Baptist Church under his spiritual father, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr.

      In 1996, Bishop Pierce relocated to Greensboro, NC where he served in full-time ministry as Pastor of                                       Evangelism at Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop George W. Brooks. In July 1999, Bishop              Pierce was installed as Senior Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church Ministries in Kannapolis,North Carolina where he                  served faithfully until his reappointment to Mount Zion.

       Bishop Pierce is dedicated to empowering leaders of today with visions of tomorrow to become more                                equipped for the Kingdom. Through God inspired teachings, he helps restore families, convict, change and encourage            people to fulfill their God given destiny.  In June 2011 Bishop Bryan J. Pierce, Sr. became the Chief Administrative                            Officer at Mount Zion and worked diligently until his elevation to Senior Pastor on January 1, 2013.  Bishop                                          Pierce serves as 1st Assistant to 2nd Presiding Bishop, Bishop Darryl Brister in the Full Gospel                                             Baptist Church Fellowship, International. Being a continuous supporter of the city of Greensboro,                                             Bishop Pierce believes strongly that he who serves the city, wins the city. He leads the efforts of                                              giving back to the city through a Church-wide campaign called No Greater Love, where                                                               the member of Mount Zion service the Greensboro community by providing minor car services,                                               pumping gas and delivering groceries to families in need. In 2017, Bishop Pierce was a part of                                                   the Guilford County Superintendent Transition Team, and was recognized for his superior                                                        leadership, and the pivotal role he played while shaping the future of Guilford County Schools.

                                             Bishop Pierce holds an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies and a Bachelor of Divinity Degree                                                 from Andersonville Theological Seminary. Bishop Pierce is also a member of the Stellar Award                                                 Winning Group Men of Standard. He is a noted songwriter, arranger and producer. Although                                              he is a multifaceted individual, teaching the Word of God is what he has been chosen to do.                                              Bishop Bryan J.Pierce, Sr. works diligently in the service of the Lord with his wife, Minister Debra A.                                      Pierce  right by his side. They are the proud parents of 4 children and 5 grandchildren. A man after                                     God’s own heart, Bishop Pierce strives daily to live God’s mission for his life. God’s plan for his life has                                   proven it’s not what you are in, but who you are in that determines where you go in life.
